Your Guide to Sleep Apnea Masks
The sleep apnea mask you choose can make all the difference.
At CPAP Liquidators, we know how important it is for you to be comfortable while getting your sleep apnea treatment. After all, if your aren't comfortable, you won't sleep, and you probably won't stay in compliance with your treatment for very long. Your sleep apnea mask is an incredibly important part of how comfortable you'll be when getting treatment. In addition to offering a variety of used CPAP machines, we also want to help you stay comfortable. That's why we've come up with this guide on CPAP masks:
Full Face CPAP Mask
Just like they sound, full face CPAP masks cover the full face, including the mouth and nose.
What are the pros of full face CPAP masks?
- They work if you primarily breathe through your mouth.
- They work well if you have a nasal obstruction from allergies or a cold.
- They work well if you need high CPAP pressure because their wide surface makes the pressure more comfortable and tolerable.
- They provide the best seal for those who sleep on their backs.
What are the cons of full face CPAP masks?
- Their wide surface area increases the chance for leaks.
- Air leakage near the top of the masks can lead to dry eyes.
- Claustrophobic patients tend to have trouble with them.
- They make it difficult to watch TV or read while wearing them.
