Sleep Apnea Therapy Challenges and How to Overcome Them Part 2

It’s common to have problems with sleep apnea therapy, especially at first, but CPAP Liquidators can help.

Investing in a used CPAP or BIPAP machine is one of the best things you can do for your obstructive sleep apnea and your wallet, but it’s not always easy to adjust to using one of these machines. Many people face issues with sleep apnea therapy, but luckily, the experts at CPAP Liquidators are here to help you overcome them. Check out our last blog to learn about a couple of common CPAP and BIPAP problems and how to solve them, and keep reading to learn how to fix other sleep apnea issues:

Problem #3. Forced air is difficult to tolerate.

One of the best ways to overcome this issue is by utilizing the “ramp” feature on your refurbished CPAP machine. With this feature, the air pressure starts out low and gradually ramps up to the proper pressure. If necessary, your doctor can adjust this feature to ramp up the pressure slower or faster. Additionally, you could also talk to your doctor about using a BIPAP machine instead of a CPAP machine to correct the problem.

Problem #4. Your mask is giving you an allergic reaction.

If you think you may be having an allergic reaction from your mask, visit your doctor as soon as possible. It’s also a good idea to double check that your mask is latex-free and to make sure that it is clean.
