You may be able to ease your sleep apnea symptoms with a few simple lifestyle changes.
When you want to save more on the best new and used CPAP machines, there's no better place to shop than CPAP Liquidators. Although we are proud to be your premier source for all things CPAP, we don't stop there! We want to help you get the most out of your treatment, and that's why, in our last post, we went over a few lifestyle changes that may help to ease your sleep apnea symptoms. Keep reading to learn about more helpful lifestyle changes:
#4. Start Exercising
Exercising regularly may help you to lose weight, which can help to relieve your sleep apnea. Additionally, regular exercise promotes better sleep in general. Aim for a half an hour of moderate activity, like a brisk walk, on an almost daily basis.
#5.Stop Sleeping on Your Back
When you sleep on your back, it can cause your soft palate and tongue to relax against your throat and obstruct your airway. Instead of sleeping on your back, try sleeping on your abdomen or side. If you have trouble forgetting not to sleep on your back, you could sew a tennis ball into the backside of your pajama top.
Lifestyle changes can help some people to find relief from their sleep apnea symptoms altogether, but many people still need to rely on CPAP therapy. If you need CPAP therapy, and you are looking to save on one of our used CPAP machines, contact us. We have a Licensed Respiratory Therapist on staff who can help you find the right option for you.
